He co-authored the piece with researchers from Indiana State University. The article recapped Al-Odeh&rsquo;s research that aimed to measure the financial viability of installing and using a residential grid-connected solar energy system while predicting its performance in 18&nbsp;locations&nbsp;in Indiana.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Season Ellison<\/strong>, assistant professor of interdisciplinary studies, co-authored a book chapter, &ldquo;Performative Texts and the Pedagogical Theatre: Alison Bechdel&rsquo;s Fun Home as Compositional Model,&rdquo; in an upcoming edited collection&nbsp;Teaching Graphic Novels, edited by Alissa Burger. She co-authored the chapter with Dr. William Cordeiro&nbsp;from Northern Arizona University&rsquo;s&nbsp;Honors College. Ellison also&nbsp;will direct &ldquo;Hedda Helmer: Ibsenite Heroine,&rdquo; a 10-minute play by Joe Stollenwerk, for the Dramatists Lab for Mid-America Theatre Conference in Houston in March. This presentation will be the play&rsquo;s first national reading and production teams and playwrights were selected through a juried process.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Andrew Hafs<\/strong>, associate&nbsp;professor of biology, published&nbsp;&ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/afs.tandfonline.com\/doi\/full\/10.1080\/02755947.2016.1254130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s4\"><b>Seasonal Changes in Condition of Appalachian Brook Trout<\/b><\/span><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a><b>,&nbsp;<\/b>in the January issue of the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/afs.tandfonline.com\/toc\/ujfm20\/current\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s4\">North American Journal of Fisheries Management<\/span><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Donna Pawlowski<\/strong>,&nbsp;professor of speech communication published&nbsp;&ldquo;Communication Civility Codes: Positive Communication Through the Students&rsquo; Eyes&rdquo; in&nbsp;the Communication Teacher journal. The article demonstrates the importance of working with students to understand and appreciate respectful communication and civility in the classroom.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><strong>Dr. Katie Peterson<\/strong>, assistant&nbsp;professor of chemistry,&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"s3\">authored a paper, &ldquo;<span class=\"s4\">Fe- and Ln-DOTAm-F12 Are Effective Paramagnetic Fluorine Contrast Agents for MRI in Water and Blood<\/span>,&rdquo; that was published in a recent issue of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/journal\/inocaj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><span class=\"s4\">Inorganic Chemistry<\/span><i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Dr. Marty J. Wolf<\/strong>, professor of computer science, has published &ldquo;<span class=\"s3\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.logiqueetanalyse.be\/index.php\/LogiqueEtAnalyse\/article\/view\/1859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Data, Signals and Information in Digital Computation<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>&ldquo;<\/b><\/span> with co-author Nir Fresco in&nbsp;<span class=\"s1\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.logiqueetanalyse.be\/index.php\/LogiqueEtAnalyse\/article\/view\/1859\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Logique et Analyse<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>,&nbsp;<\/b><\/span>an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes research in logic, philosophy of logic and\/or mathematics, argumentation-theory, and analytical philosophy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 class=\"p1\"><b><i><\/i><\/b>New Hires<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jennifer Baumann<\/strong> has joined the Center for Professional Development, honors program and gender studies\/womens studies as an office and administrative specialist, effective Jan. 3.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sandy Beck<\/strong> has accepted the position of facilities services supervisor for the university&rsquo;s academic buildings.
