Dr. Marci Maple<\/a><\/b>, professor of nursing, was inducted into the Global Academy of Holistic Nursing in June. The academy focuses on advancing the specialty of holistic nursing around the world.<\/p>\n

Dr. Mark Lawrence<\/a><\/b>, professor of geography, recently authored some articles, including “The Chinese and the Chief’s
\nTree: Framing Narratives of Socionature and Development in Kibwezi, Kenya” and “Seeing Them All? Thinking About Institutions, Indigenization, and the Political Ecologies of Slums.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Mahmoud Al-Odeh<\/a><\/b>, professor of technology, art and design, lead his students to achieve 100% passing rates on the Certified Technology Management and Lean Six Sigma exams from the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering.<\/p>\n

Al-Odeh also collaborated with Dr. Halbana Tarmizi<\/a><\/b>, associate professor of business administration, and Dr. Hamdan Alabsi<\/a><\/b>, assistant professor of business administration, on an article published in the Mountain Plains Journal of Business and Technology. Their article investigates students’ perceptions of E-textbooks in a medium-sized university in the midwestern United States and measures students’ intention to adopt E-textbooks where they had an option to choose between traditional textbooks and E-textbooks for their classes.<\/p>\n

Dr. Dean Frost<\/a><\/b>, professor of business administration, recently published a book titled “Achieving Success as a 21st Century Manager.” His book discusses how to take control of one’s career in management by making a custom plan for development outside of training sessions or university degree programs.<\/p>\n

Maureen Gibbon<\/a>,<\/b> professor of English, published a novel on Sept. 7 titled “The Lost Notebook of Édouard Manet.” Her novel focuses on the last three years in the life of artist Edouard Manet. <\/span><\/p>\n

Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Hilary Lowery<\/b><\/a> will perform with the Hartland Symphony Orchestra during it’s Dec. 2-4 concert series titled “A Concerto for the Holiday.” This year will be The Heartland Symphony Orchestra’s 45th concert season.<\/p>\n
