Two Bemidji State University communication studies professors chaired academic presentations and presented research at the Communication and Theater Association of Minnesota’s annual conference Sept. 14-16, 2023 in St. Cloud.<\/p>\n

Dr<\/span>. Donna Pawlowski<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, department chair and professor of communication studies, presented “Charting our New Campus: Keeping Personal Connections Among Students, Faculty, and Administration.” She also participated in the university department chairs meeting and assumed the role of the association’s president at the end of the conference.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. John Perlich<\/span><\/strong>, associate professor of communication studies, chaired and presented research on a panel titled, “ChatGPT, AI, and the Communication Classroom.” He also chaired a panel on the impact of<\/span> <\/span>artificial intelligence in speech and debate competitions and classrooms.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
