BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 22, 2010)<\/strong> – The Bemidji State women’s basketball program has its 2010-11 season underway and is looking ahead to its Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference opener in December.<\/p>\n

The Beavers are coached by Mike Curfman, in his fifth year as head coach at Bemidji State. Curfman has been one of the most successful bench bosses in BSU history; his five years as head coach is the third-longest tenure by a BSU head coach and he is fourth all-time in coaching victories.<\/p>\n

Bemidji State won two of its first three games to open the 2010-11 season; the Beavers won their season opener against Mayville State and then splitting a pair of games at the Maverick Classic in Mankato, Minn. BSU opens NSIC play on Dec. 3 against Minnesota State University, Moorhead.<\/p>\n
