{"id":8953,"date":"2012-04-30T14:53:34","date_gmt":"2012-04-30T19:53:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.bemidjistate.edu\/bsutoday\/?p=8953"},"modified":"2021-11-01T15:22:10","modified_gmt":"2021-11-01T20:22:10","slug":"high-altitude-balloon-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/news\/2012\/04\/30\/high-altitude-balloon-team\/","title":{"rendered":"High Altitude Balloon Team launch tops 107,000 feet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On an overcast spring afternoon, a high-altitude balloon and its payload returned to Earth in an alfalfa field approximately 16 miles west-northwest of Sebeka, Minn.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.bemidjistate.edu\/bsutoday\/files\/2012\/04\/about-91000-ft.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"floatright img-fluid\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.bemidjistate.edu\/bsutoday\/files\/2012\/04\/about-91000-ft-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\"><\/a>The payload recovery marked the end of an April 9 experiment conducted by students from Bemidji State University and Central Lakes College, located in Brainerd, Minn.
