Bob Griggs joins cabinet as VP for Innovation and Extended Learning
\n<\/strong>On Aug. 31, President Hanson announced an exciting extension of leadership at Bemidji State University and a further strengthening of his Cabinet. As announced at the President’s Breakfast during fall start-up, Mr. Bob Griggs has transitioned from his crucial work as interim Vice President for Academic Affairs into a newly created position of Vice President for Innovation and Extended Learning.<\/p>\n

“Now that Dr. Martin Tadlock has joined us as Provost and VP\/Academic Affairs, we are fortunate that Bob can step into and develop this important new role,” Hanson said. “Nothing is more essential to creating an engaging and powerful future for Bemidji State than an insightful and relevant understanding of innovation and how it will shape our future.”<\/p>\n

Reporting to Griggs will be the Center for Extended Learning, Optivation, Summer Programming, Information Technology and Sponsored Research. He also will bring forward new and effective approaches to instructional modality, achieve substantial increases in summer programming, craft a workable definition of innovative university education, and much more. This position on the Cabinet, which will add no additional expense to BSU, will help us prepare for a challenging and demanding future.<\/p>\n
