Project planning questions

  • Briefly describe or summarize this project.
  • What is the purpose of this communication?
  • Who is my audience? What attitudes do they currently have and what specifically am I asking them to do/think/believe?
  • What's my key message? (What am I describing/suggesting/asking?)
  • What is the value of this key message to my audience?
  • Which overall BSU strategic initiatives does it support?
  • What is the timeline I have to work with?
  • Who needs to approve this? How will this impact the timeline?
  • What's my budget?
  • What resources (personnel, content, visuals, tools) do I have or need to complete this?
  • What information (background, details, requirements, examples) do I have or need to complete this?
  • What tone of voice and/or manner of visual will resonate with this audience? (e.g. serious, playful, youthful)
  • How can I measure the success of this communication?
