Q: Where are you from?

Elk River, Minn., when it was still kind of a small town.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like getting outside to hike and explore the outdoors with my wife. I also like to make abstract 3D animations in Blender 3D.

Q: Where is your favorite place to eat in Bemidji?

There are so many good places to eat in Bemidji, but I would probably say Wasabi because I love sushi and sashimi.

Q: If you were an animal, what would you be, and why?

Maybe an owl. Partly because I’m a night person and I like hearing and seeing owls. I also like the Ojibwe word for owl: Gookooko’oo.

Q: What is your favorite sports team?

Usually I am rooting for the away team, but no matter who is playing I just like to see a good game. This year the Kansas City Chiefs were pretty fun to watch.

Welcome to the #BeaverFamily, Jason. We’re excited you chose to join us at Bemidji State University!
