This session we will explore Flipping the Classroom with:
Dr. Jeanine McDermott: School of Nursing Brian Jambor: ITS
This Words With Nerds will look at specific examples of how flipped classroom methods can effectively motivate students in large-enrollment classes to arrive prepared; and be responsible for their own learning.
*Discuss the meaning of “flipping” as it pertains to the classroom learning environment.
*Explore how innovative “flipping” methodologies foster students to master higher domains of learning.
*Share “flipped” classroom strategies employed to continue to meet course and program outcomes as class section and student enrollment continues to grow.
*Look at certain software tools (MediaSpace, Panopto, Adobe Presenter) that aid in the creation of content for the flipped class.
