Forwarding an email message as an attachment.

In some security scenarios, the ITS help desk may ask you to forward an email “as an attachment.”

Forwarding as an Attachment allows the recipient to more closely examine information about the email than if it were normally forwarded.  

  1. Select the email you want to forward.
  2. From the Home ribbon, select Forward as Attachment from the More Respond Actions menu. Windows:

    Mac OS:

  3. This will open a new message with the forwarded message included as an attachment.  Compose your message and send as normal.
