What to do if you receive a phishing email.
If you receive an email that you suspect is a phishing attempt, please follow the below instructions:
- Do not click on any links in the message.
- Forward the message as an attachment to Phishing@minnstate.edu. This will alert the System Office security team, who can begin the process of quarantining the malicious site using Internet Guardian.
Note: Do not forward the message to anyone else (including the help desk).
- Delete the email
