Bemidji State University provides wireless network services across the campus, including the Residence Halls.
Residential Hall Network Services
All of BSU’s wireless networks are encrypted and require users to log in with their MyBSU credentials. Residents are allowed to connect any number of wireless devices to the network.
In order to maintain a highly available, responsive wireless network, BSU ITS prohibits the use of personal wireless access points, wireless routers, or cellular wireless “hotspot” devices or apps. Smartphone owners are strongly encouraged to disable these services as well.
Gaming or streaming devices
If you’d like to connect a gaming or streaming device to the wireless network, you’ll have to let us know first. Please fill out the wireless device registration service request to get started, StarID credentials will be required to start the request.
Connecting to the BSU network requires you to abide by the Acceptable Use of Computers and Information Technology Policy.
Residential Hall Printing
Each residence hall has a network printer in the office area that can be used by students for printing school-related projects. If there is a problem with the printer, please alert the office staff.
