Wired and Wireless Networks

Wifi logoBemidji State University’s wired and wireless networks are available in all academic, administrative and residential buildings.


BSU’s wired network is available to anyone by directly connecting computer to any available data jack. (KB article)


Students, faculty, and staff can connect to BSU WiFi by using using their MyBSU credentials.  Some machine configuration may be required. (KB article)

Network Policies

Connecting to the BSU network (wired or wireless) requires you to abide by the MinnState Acceptable Use Agreement.

Guest WiFi

BSU does not have an open guest WiFi network.  If you are planning an event on campus, or have guests on campus that require wireless access, please contact the Help Desk as soon as possible to discuss options. Remember, anyone is able to connect to the wired network with an Ethernet cable at any time.


BSU is one of the many participating colleges and universities who use Eduroam. With Eduroam, you are able to connect to other participating locations Wi-Fi’s with your StarID Password while on-site at those locations. (KB Article & MinnState Article)
