Bemidji Rotary Ridgeway Neighborhood Project

May 14, 2020

The Bemidji Rotary Ridgeway Neighborhood Project offers an opportunity to develop and measure success metrics. This is a follow up study for a community assessment project done by Rotary 20 years ago. Faculty, staff and students are all invited to participate in creating assessment strategies, identifying areas to assess, creating questions, doing fieldwork and helping with analysis.

United Way — Ruby’s Pantry

April 15, 2020
2:30–5:30 p.m.
Sanford Center

On April 15, the United Way is seeking 50 volunteers to prepare boxed meals for Ruby’s Pantry and load the meals into vehicles for distribution. This is a three-hour volunteer opportunity at the Sanford Center, beginning at 2:30 p.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. For consistency and efficiency, the United Way prefers that volunteers be available for the entire three-hour shift so time is not lost by integrating new people into a workflow. However, shift changes are acceptable.

Ruby’s Pantry volunteers are typically people who are older or considered to be vulnerable populations with regard to COVID-19, so additional support from the community is greatly needed for this activity. Bemidji State and NTC have committed to providing as many of the 50 needed volunteers as possible.

To volunteer — complete the Ruby’s Pantry Volunteer Signup Form online before April 8, 2020. Volunteers must click the check mark that says “I’m with a group” and enter “BSU April Volunteers.”
