{"id":83,"date":"2021-12-21T16:30:43","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T22:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/president\/?page_id=83"},"modified":"2022-06-23T09:25:49","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T14:25:49","slug":"charting-the-future-mnscu","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/president\/strategic-direction\/charting-the-future-at-bsu-and-ntc\/charting-the-future-mnscu\/","title":{"rendered":"Charting the Future &#8211; MnSCU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"intro\">Recently, the MnSCU Board of Trustees adopted a set of strategic recommendations that call for the system&rsquo;s 31 colleges and universities to significantly increase collaboration to improve access, increase affordability and better serve students and the people of Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p>The recommended strategies, combined in a document called &ldquo;Charting the Future for a Prosperous Minnesota,&rdquo; is the product of months of meetings, discussion, feedback and revisions by people both in the system office and at MnSCU campuses.<\/p>\n<p>The document establishes a broad strategy for better aligning the combined resources of MnSCU institutions. It addresses persistent structural weaknesses in Minnesota&rsquo;s educational system, and challenges us all to join together to fulfill MnSCU&rsquo;s commitment as the state&rsquo;s leading provider of high-quality, highly relevant and highly accessible higher education.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/offices\/president\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/86\/2022\/01\/Charting-the-Future-for-a-Prosperous-Minnesota.pdf\">Charting the Future for a Prosperous Minnesota<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro\">During spring 2014 and the following academic year, implementation teams began their work to develop recommendations for 8 strategic areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student Success<\/li>\n<li>Diversity<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive Workplace Solutions<\/li>\n<li>System Incentives and Rewards<\/li>\n<li>Academic Planning and Collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Competency Certification and Credit for Prior Learning<\/li>\n<li>Education Technology<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology Systems Design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This work was presented to the campuses by Gallery Walks held on each campus.<\/p>\n<p>More information on the progress of the implementation teams is available on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chartingthefuturemnscu.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Charting the Future webpage<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a>.<strong>Unsafe Website<br>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, the MnSCU Board of Trustees adopted a set of strategic recommendations that call for the system&rsquo;s 31 colleges and universities to significantly increase collaboration to improve access, increase affordability and better serve students and the people of Minnesota.
