Help advance the future of teacher education at BSU!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The BSU Teacher Education Student Focus Groups provide teacher candidates with an opportunity to share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas directly with the Office of Teacher Education (OTE).<\/p>\n<p>OTE is responsible for ongoing assessment and continuous improvement efforts of BSU teacher education programs.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, Student Focus Groups will bring together teacher candidates from across BSU&rsquo;s teacher preparation programs to participate in open, supportive conversations about their experiences, discuss what is working well, and share ideas for strengthening the program.<\/p>\n<p>Focus groups meet virtually once per semester (fall and spring). Members serve one-year terms, renewable once.<\/p>\n<p>Serving on a Student Focus Group is an opportunity to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build leadership and advocacy experience for your resume or portfolio<\/li>\n<li>Be the voice of teacher candidates at BSU<\/li>\n<li>Influence BSU program improvements related to coursework, advising, field experiences, and student support<\/li>\n<li>Provide honest feedback in a supportive, student-centered environment<\/li>\n<li>Participate in flexible, virtual discussions designed to fit students&rsquo; busy schedules<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BSU Teacher Education Student Focus Groups The BSU Teacher Education Student Focus Groups are now accepting membership interest forms for the 2026-2027 school year!
