Partnering with Career Services at Bemidji State University means you’ll be tapping into one of the largest and most prepared pools of talent in northern Minnesota. We offer services to aid you in finding the perfect candidate for your employment and internship opportunities.

George W. Neilson Foundation Internship Program

The Neilson Foundation is offering 15 partially funded internships for local Bemidji businesses (for-profit) during Summer 2020.  Of these internships, one specifically is for health and nursing and 14 are for private businesses pertaining to any major or program offered by Bemidji State University or Northwest Technical College.

Funding will be split equally with 50 percent of the hourly compensation for the intern being paid by the Foundation and the other 50 percent paid by the participating business for up to $2,500.  Businesses applying for internship funding must be located within 30 miles of Bemidji. Please note, all non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply directly to the George W. Neilson Foundation.

Applications for employers who are interested in funding towards hiring a summer intern are due March 5th. The employers selected will be finalized by the George W. Neilson Foundation, and those employers will be notified the beginning of March.

We strongly encourage you to complete a profile in our exclusive BSU & NTC job and internship positing site, Connect2Careers (powered by Handshake) for further communication.
