Dev 931 Scholastic Written English (5 Credits)

This course will focus on the reading and writing of university-level English. Students will read about various aspects of American and world cultures, develop reading comprehension skills, increase their working knowledge of Standard American English grammar, write academic essays, and learn to do library research and incorporate it into their writing.

Dev 932 Scholastic Spoken English (5 Credits)

This course will focus on developing the verbal skills of students, in both oral and aural terms.  This course enhances the ability of students to comprehend class lectures, improve collaborative skills with classmates, give formal presentations, and increase their vocabulary.

Dev 933 Academic Study Skills (2 credits)

Academic Study Skills is an English Language Center course geared for non-native English speakers.

This course is designed to help students develop academic study skills for academic preparation.

Spring Semester: 2 undergraduate courses + 2 English language courses
