Morgan graduated with a BA in English with minors in French and History from Wingate College. She continued her education at the University of Virginia, completing her Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary English. After working at Palm Beach Atlantic College as an instructor and head of their Preparatory English program, she moved to Moscow, Russia, where she lived for seven years. While in Russia, she worked as an English tutor and learned the Russian language by way of a Russian tutor and immersion, giving her both the experience of teaching English as a Foreign Language and being a student of a foreign language in that country. Morgan, originally from Rhode Island, has been living in Bemidji, Minnesota, with her husband and four teenage boys for over ten years.
Laura Seter received a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in teaching German from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1987. She continued her education at the School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont where she earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in English as a Second Language. After teaching ESL for 15 years at a college preparatory school in western Massachusetts, Laura and her family moved to Bemidji to be closer to the Concordia Language Villages. A long-time staff member at the German language village, Laura went on to become the dean of both “Hometown, USA” and “Hometown, Europe,” short-term residential English language and culture programs for ESL students in the U.S. and Switzerland. Currently, Laura lives in Kabekona, Minnesota. She has two adult children, one living and working in Minneapolis, and the other teaching in Indiana. When she is not teaching at BSU, Laura is fulfilling her duties as the executive director of the Region 2 Arts Council, located in downtown Bemidji in the Watermark Art Center.
