The Student Center for Health and Counseling provides support services to faculty and staff to assist you in your efforts to help students who may be in distress.
Use our Distress Flowsheet if uncertain what to do first.
SCHC provides consultations to faculty and staff regarding any issue concerning a student’s welfare. Please call or email the counselors with any questions.
If you feel a student is in crisis, encourage the student to call the counseling center, or walk with them over to the counseling center, and every effort will be made to provide a same day appointment for the student. If after hours, please call Mobile Crisis. See making a referral for counseling services for more information.
Training and Presentations
Training and psycho-educational presentations are available upon request, as staff time and resources permit, to academic departments, student groups, classes, residence halls, and faculty and staff. If you would like to set up a presentation, please call us at 218-755-2053.
