{"id":30,"date":"2022-05-31T11:04:05","date_gmt":"2022-05-31T16:04:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/triosss\/?page_id=30"},"modified":"2025-02-10T14:32:54","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T20:32:54","slug":"apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/triosss\/apply\/","title":{"rendered":"Apply"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To qualify for TRIO Student Support Services, an applicant must<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Be a United States citizen or permanent resident,<br>\n<\/strong>AND<\/li>\n<li><strong>Meet one or more of the following eligibility requirements:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a first generation college student (neither parent completed a four-year degree) and\/or<\/li>\n<li>Fall within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ed.gov\/about\/ed-offices\/ope\/trio\/federal-trio-programs-current-year-low-income-levels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">low income guidelines<i title=\"External link\" class=\"bsu-icon bsu-icon-external-link small ms-1\"><\/i><\/a> (150% of poverty level) and\/or<\/li>\n<li>Have a documented disability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants must also demonstrate academic need to qualify for services.<\/p>\n<h2>Application Procedures<\/h2>\n<p>First-time college students and transfer students are welcome to apply for TRIO SSS. Apply online using our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/triosss\/apply\/trio-sss-application\/\">Online TRIO-SSS Application<\/a> or download and complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bemidjistate.edu\/services\/triosss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2025\/02\/TRIO-Application.pdf\">TRIO SSS Application<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Submit your completed form to the TRIO SSS office using one of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>In Person: <\/strong>Decker Hall 240<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email: <a href=\"mailto:TRIO_SSS@bemidjistate.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">TRIO_SSS@bemidjistate.edu<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Fax: <\/strong>(218) 755-4116<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mail:<\/strong><br>\nTRIO Student Support Services<br>\nBemidji State University, Box 22<br>\n1500 Birchmont Drive NE<br>\nBemidji, MN 56601-2699<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once your application is received, staff will review your information to determine whether you are eligible for our services.
