<\/a><\/figure><\/a><\/figure><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\nEvening Entertainment<\/h3>\n
Evenings are full of fun activities including floor competitions, Family Feud, movies, time at the BSU recreation center and a talent show. There are a variety of events to appeal to all student interests. The final Summer Program activity is the Awards Banquet where teachers present academic awards to students. The evening includes a formal dinner and dance.<\/p>\n
Service Learning<\/h3>\n
<\/p>\n
The summer program integrates meaningful community service with instruction and teaches civic responsibility through service learning projects. Students volunteer for service-learning opportunities<\/p>\n
throughout the summer supporting the Bemidji community such as volunteering services for needy families as well as the Adopt-a-Highway project located west of Bemidji.<\/p>\n
Camping<\/h3>\n
A camping trip is taken by both boys and girls floors on separate weeks. Students get the full outdoor experience setting up tents, cooking over a fire and telling stories into the wee hours of the morning.<\/p>\n
College Visits<\/h3>\n
Visiting colleges takes place multiple times throughout the Summer Program. Students will get the opportunity to tour and learn about both two-year and four-year colleges to help them in their post-secondary planning.<\/p>\n
