Industrial technology is concerned with technological processes, materials, and techniques and their resultant impact on people, organizations, and culture. The Department of Industrial Technology offers an integrated curriculum and specializations that emphasize higher order thinking skills and prepares students to contribute responsibly to the moral, intellectual, social, cultural, and economic concerns of the world community.

Notes: Students must enroll in basic Industrial Technology classes their first year on campus. This gives students an opportunity to experience the Industrial Technology curriculum and to understand the options available.

Campus chapters of professional organizations: The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Minnesota Technology Education Association.

Credit Requirement

Transfer Students: At least one-third of the credits to be included in the major must be successfully completed at Bemidji State University.
