The Department of Public is a division of the Office of Finance and Administration and is responsible for all campus security, environmental health and safety, parking enforcement, and emergency management at both Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College (NTC). The department provides 24-hour campus patrols, emergency services, escorts, building security, and many other services. The department also works closely with local law enforcement agencies in crime prevention and investigations. The Office of the President has granted this department the authority to take appropriate action necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment on all property owned, leased, or occupied by BSU and NTC.
