Independent study will be available to students who meet the requirements for readings or research courses in a particular department. Internships can be arranged through the Director of Indian Studies for a predetermined number of quarter hours. These will be a cooperative arrangement of the University and various Indian and Indian-related organizations such as tribal governments, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, federal Indian programs, public schools, and Indian alternative schools.
