Study in another country provides an unequaled learning experience, and is a valuable complement to classroom learning. Understanding other cultures helps us understand ourselves and the world in which we live. Appreciating other cultures and other world citizens enhances our personal lives, and our professional opportunities.
The Office of International Services coordinates international study for individuals and for groups of students. Services include assistance with applications, passports, health insurance, international identification cards, health information (immunizations), and payments.
Students may receive academic credit for participation in International studies programs. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
Note: Most of the programs described below offer the opportunity to study the language of the country and can be applied to the International Studies Field of Emphasis.
See Section II, Enrollment for required high school preparation.
Study abroad complements many majors, and increases opportunities in careers that require understanding, appreciation and knowledge of other cultures.
