Areas of Study


Industrial technology is concerned with technological processes, materials, and techniques, and their resultant impact on people, organizations and culture. The Industrial Technology Department offers an integrated curriculum with specializations that emphasizes higher order thinking skills, and prepares students to contribute responsibly to the moral, intellectual, social, cultural, and economic concerns of the world community.

Notes: Students are encouraged to enroll in basic classes in Industrial Technology as early as their first year on campus. This gives them an opportunity to experience the Industrial Technology curriculum and to understand the options available.

Campus chapters of professional organizations: The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Associated Builders and Contractors, American Engineering Model Society.
