200 RELIGION IN THE MODERN WORLD (4 credits). An examination of the impact and direction of religion in modern society, particularly as it relates to other fields of study and social institutions such as art, music, literature, social problems, education, politics and science. Readings from contemporary writers and media. Prerequisites: Sophomore status or consent of the instructor. (Applies to Liberal Education Area VI , Area VII ).
