Area V - Social Science

Minimum 17 Quarter Hours

Minimum of five courses from at least three program areas.

The social sciences investigate human activity in a variety of contexts, from individual behavior to complex societial behavior. Study includes the history of human cultures and societies, the development and operation of economic, political, and social institutions, and the interactions of humans with one another and with the natural environment. Knowledge of the social sciences enhances our knowledge of ourselves, and of the roles we may play as informed citizens.
