SOWK 3730 Anti-Oppressive Relations on Turtle Island (3 credits)

This course focuses on issues of diversity, oppression, and social justice. It is designed to prepare students to be knowledgeable of the effects of oppression in a society, and to examine their own values and beliefs as it relates to race, ethnicity, culture, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, social and economic status, political ideology, disability and how these contribute to discrimination and oppression personally, systemically, and institutionally.
