TADD 1300 Three-Dimensional Visual Foundations (2 credits)

This course is a foundation level study of the elements of art and principles of three-dimensional design. Students will use a variety of media and art techniques to explore three-dimensional design; form, line, plane, volume, mass, space, texture, light, and time. Projects emphasize a creative process for problem-solving in three dimensions, as well as a general knowledge of historical and contemporary design issues. Students will discuss, analyze, and critique their original drawings and 2D design work with a group of their peers using standard critique procedures.
