Instrumental/Classroom K-12 Specialization (Teacher Licensure)			
			The Bachelor of Science in Music (Teacher Licensure) at BSU prepares students to be music educators, with a focus on applied instruction and pedagogy. Students will have the opportunity to perform in a wide variety of ensembles, refine their craft, and study conducting and pedagogy techniques.
A total of 132 semester credits are needed for the Music Education, Instrumental/Classroom K-12 specialization (Teacher Licensure) B.S. degree and includes the following:
- 40 upper division credits (level 3000/4000)
- 89 required major core credits
- Completion of Core Curriculum credits (Minnesota Transfer Curriculum [MnTC] Goal Areas 1-10) - required for all baccalaureate degrees
- Completion of BSU Focus and Nisidotaading Course Requirements
Multiple Credentials
Any additional major, minor or certificate in a degree must have at least 6 credits of course work not used to meet the requirements of another major, minor or certificate in the degree.
