NRSG 3100 Concepts of Nursing and Health Care (3 credits)

Introduces concepts emphasized in the program. Explores the nature of the discipline within professional and social contexts. Concepts of health are studied in relation to professional practice roles. Examines philosophies, theories, and frameworks for nursing practice. Students also address values clarification and ethical decision making. Prerequisite: Current RN license and admitted to major or must have an associate degree or diploma degree as a registered nurse or be a licensed RN by the end of the first semester.
