ENGL 3400 Integrated Research Writing with AI (3 credits)

This interdisciplinary course focuses on research skills in an AI-assisted context, grounding students in ethical and evidence-informed practices. Students explore multiple ways of knowing, including Indigenous knowledge and traditional research methods, while learning to use AI tools responsibly for data gathering, analysis, and synthesis. Course work emphasizes critical evaluation of sources, effective prompt engineering to support research queries, and reflective, inclusive communication. Students will be able to produce iterative, multimodal research projects that are ethically sound, well-supported, and ready to share in professional or academic contexts.
