OJIB 1120 Foundations of Ojibwe Education (4 credits)

This introductory course explores the history, philosophy, and contemporary practice of Ojibwe education, with a focus on what it means to become a teacher of the Ojibwe language. Students examine boarding school legacies, language loss and revitalization efforts, and foundational concepts in teaching and learning, while beginning to imagine their own pathway into Ojibwe education.
