OJIB 3320 Advanced Ojibwe Grammar and Syntax (4 credits)
This course is an advanced study of Ojibwe grammar and syntax. Building on foundational language skills, this course focuses on complex verb structures, sentence-level and story syntax, discourse patterns, and grammatical nuance. Students will engage in detailed grammatical analysis of spoken and written Ojibwe, strengthening their ability to interpret meaning, produce accurate forms, and understand how grammar functions within cultural and communicative contexts. This course prepares students for advanced language use, teaching, translation, linguistic research, and community-based language revitalization work. Prerequisite(s): OJIB 2212 or OJIB 3311.
