Hardware & Software

ITS student workers learn by doing.Bemidji State University students, faculty, and staff access the latest hardware and software at our state-of-the art computer labs and classrooms, and through our vendor partnerships.

Refreshed regularly, BSU labs keep pace with faculty recommendations, assuring students are learning on the most relevant platforms and software versions. At our new Active Learning Spaces, faculty engage students with the latest emerging academic technologies and devices, making content personal and accessible.

BSU’s education technologist and classroom tech manager regularly meet with faculty and academic computing groups to discuss latest trends in learning technologies to determine how they can best be applied on campus.  This close partnership contributes to students experiencing and learning in the most engaging classrooms available.

Have a question about what technology you should bring to campus?  Students should refer to our hardware recommendation page for suggestion on personal computers.  We also recommend that students contact their academic advisers for specialized hardware recommendations based on the software they’ll be using in their major. Students, be sure to check out our software page for links to free and reduced pricing opportunities on the software you’ll be using at BSU.
