New Electronic Resources for BSU Students, Faculty, and Staff
The A. C. Clark Library has recently added several new titles to its list of electronic resources available for students, faculty, and staff: the ACM Digital Library, ACM's Guide to Computing Literature, J-STOR, and LexisNexis Academic. All are available via computers throughout campus and also can be accessed from off campus by currently enrolled BSU students, faculty, and staff.
New Linking to Interlibrary Loan Forms
Interlibrary loan forms are now linked to a number of the library’s databases. When searching Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier (Standard Interface), MasterFILE Premier, or Bibliography of Native North Americans, you will now see “Order via Interlibrary Loan” as one of your options. When viewing a citation in these databases, click on “Order via Interlibrary Loan” to automatically transfer the citation to the interlibrary loan form; you will need only to add your library barcode, password, need-by date, and click the copyright compliance box before submitting the form. Try it out! Remember to first check for full text availability and check to see if the BSU Library owns the item, before using the interlibrary loan link.
If you are searching library databases other than those listed above, you will still need to complete the blank interlibrary loan form manually. To view a demonstration of a journal article request, click on this DEMO (requires Flash Player 7 or higher.)

Welcome to the A. C. Clark Library!
No matter what course of study students pursue, the resources and services
of the University's library play an important role in their education.
The newly renovated library houses nearly a quarter of a million books,
more than 900 periodical subscriptions, and collections of government
publications, audio visual materials, maps, and microforms. In addition,
the library provides access to off-campus holdings through an extensive
interlibrary loan network. This wide knowledge base helps support the
University's academic programs.
The library, is not only a place to obtain information. It is also
where students can learn the process of information identification and
retrieval. In their future professional lives, they will then be able
to efficiently and effectively access, evaluate, and use information.
At this time in our history, the forms of information and the paths
of access to it continue to change dramatically. It is therefore especially
important for those who would be the problem solvers in our society
to be knowledgeable about and skilled in using information technologies,
networks, and services.
The faculty and staff of the A. C. Clark Library strive to make the
library's services fulfill this educational mission. Be it at the Reference
Desk or other public service areas, through workshops, through guest
instruction for classes or groups, or even through behind-the-scenes
technical processing, their efforts are directed at supporting a very
important element of each student's education.
