Biography

Carl Lund is an associate professor of professional education. He taught elementary, middle, and high school for 15 years and has taught in higher education since 2012. He has varied areas of interest including history, geography, social studies education, mathematics and mathematics education, middle school education, children’s and young adult literature, instructional design, and gifted education. He has recently been invited to present a paper on Terry Pratchett’s subversive use of narrative at the Children’s Literature Association National Conference. Currently, he is researching the experiences of Scandinavian immigrants in the Gilded Age Midwest and West.
