The Writing Resource Center (WRC) is a place where you can work on your writing one-to-one with a trained writing consultant. Consultants focus on feedback rather than correction in order to help you develop as a writer and student.

Consultants focus first on writing issue that most impact meaning, such as:

  • Generating ideas
  • Developing thesis statements
  • Focusing arguments
  • Organizing ideas

Once these areas are addressed, consultants can also help with:

  • Polishing and revising writing
  • Organizing sources
  • Citing sources

Writing consultants are here to help BSU students at any point in their writing process with writing from any class. In fact, BSU students can bring any piece of writing: class work, personal statements, even letters home.
