The Bemidji State University Master of Teaching (MAT) FasTrack licensure program is an online graduate degree and teacher licensure program designed for students who hold undergraduate or graduate degrees. FasTrack is focused on secondary and content-specific licensure. This program is for individuals seeking initial licensure (Tier 3 or Tier 4 teacher licensure) in Minnesota.

The MAT-FasTrack program provides a flexible, supportive online learning experience. Our new student orientation is held in person at Central Lakes College in Brainerd to welcome fully, everyone to our community. The MAT FasTrack coursework requires virtual meetings at the start and end of each semester with opportunities to attend other optional virtual sessions with your professors and fellow students throughout the program.
As a teacher candidate, you will join a supportive network of peers, faculty, staff, and K-12 teacher mentors. New student cohorts launch every fall and spring semester, allowing you to learn and grow alongside a consistent community of future educators. Throughout your journey, our dedicated faculty and staff provide continuous guidance to ensure your success.
Apply and complete our virtual on-boarding module in which you will work with a content-expert to create a course plan of study to complete the Master of Teaching degree and earn your full Minnesota teaching license in a selected content area. This on-boarding module is required to register for courses.
