Bev Hodgson, Bemidji State University registrar, has been recognized with 2026 Outstanding Service Faculty honors by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees for her service to the BSU campus community and its students.

Hodgson has worked for BSU and Northwest Technical College for 24 years. In her nomination for the 2026 Board of Trustees awards, she was recognized for her leadership in organizing annual commencement ceremonies and for her leadership during significant technology upgrades at both BSU and the Minnesota State system.

She has led BSU’s transition from paper-based processes in its Office of Records and Registration, which her nomination notes has “…improved service, reduced service times, streamlined transcript processing processes and elevated the level of support BSU can provide to students and alumni.”

She has also been involved in Minnesota State’s Registrar User Group as part of the ongoing process to develop and implement the Workday Student project. That enterprise-wide software upgrade will unify systems and processes across all Minnesota State colleges and universities.

Hodgson was one of five service faculty system-wide to receive 2026 Outstanding Service Faculty honors from the Board of Trustees.

Jean Clarke, director of learning communities at Minnesota State University, Mankato, was named 2026 Service Faculty of the Year.

Gwen Oster, a 21-year veteran of Northwest Technical College’s Electrical Construction and Maintenance program, will receive 2026 Outstanding Educator honors from the Board of Trustees, as well.
