Hometown News: FYRE program RAs

Bemidji State University’s First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) is a freshman residential program designed to enhance the living, learning and social experiences of first-year students at the University.

Residential assistants – student leaders who live in Bemidji State’s residence halls –provide guidance, academic assistance and support to all students who reside on campus.

FYRE offers students continual guidance by placing program-specific residential assistants (RAs) on designated FYRE floors in residence halls. RAs ensure the safety and overall well being of students and guide them through all aspects of residential living at Bemidji State while enforcing university rules.

RAs also organize floor and building events, as well as events with other dorms, in order to build community among residents.

For more information about Bemidji State’s FYRE program, visit the Department of Residential Life or call (218) 755-3750.
