Hometown News: 2012-13 peer academic assistants

Peer academic assistants, student leaders that live in the residential buildings at Bemidji State University, provide guidance, academic assistance and support to First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) students.

Though the academic assistants have similar duties to residential assistants, they also provide tutoring services, help organize FYRE events, staff the Academic Resource Center and help teach FYRE classes. Peer academic assistants live on the freshman floors of the residential buildings.

For more information about Bemidji State University’s FYRE program, visit the Department of Residential Life or call (218) 755-3750.
