June 17: Bog Walk at Lake Bemidji State Park
Join the Sustainability Office and folk school staff for a guided Bog Walk tour with John Fylpaa, devoted naturalist at Lake Bemidji State Park. Participants will gather at the school at 5:20 p.m. to carpool to the state park for those who need rides; vehicles going to the park will need to have park stickers for admission. The walk will begin at 5:45 p.m. Participants are encouraged to wear shoes appropriate for light hiking, to pack a jacket in case of rain, and plan accordingly for the presence of mosquitos or other insects.

Sustainable Tuesdays are a partnership between Bemidji State’s Sustainability Office, the Indigenous Environmental Network, Minnesota GreenCorps and the Rail River Folk School. The Sustainable Tuesdays presentations aim to draw upon the strengths of the region’s diversity to create a sustainable Bemidji.
