Student standing in front of the capitalWhy did you choose to major in psychology?

I feel that because of my time in the Navy I am in a unique position to assist service members and veterans struggling with their mental health.

Is the psychology department meeting your expectations? If yes, in what ways?

Absolutely! The psychology department has been amazing. Every chance that they have had to go above and beyond to assist me both in my current studies and my future academic/career aspirations they have taken it.

What about your experience with the BSU psychology department are you happy with?

The professors are not only incredibly knowledgeable in their respective areas of expertise but are also some of the most warm and understanding people I have ever met.

What would you say to prospective students interested in coming to BSU to major in psychology?

It is hard for me to imagine a more conducive environment for studying psychology. Plus, who doesn’t want to be a beaver? Beavers are cool.

Anything else you wish to share?

I have always really struggled with school and that includes an attempt at college before I joined the Navy. Since starting in the BSU psychology program I have achieved an almost perfect GPA, it is because of the BSU psychology staff’s unending commitment to their student’s success that this is possible.
