BEMIDJI, Minn. – Presentations covering the basic steps to starting one’s own business, coordinated by the Northwest Regional Small Business Center (SBDC), will be held later this month in Bagley, Minn. and Thief River Falls, Minn. The three-hour presentation will be given by Director of the SBDC Jorge Prince from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21 in Bagley and Tuesday, Feb. 26 in Thief River Falls.
The Bagley presentation will be held at the Community Education Center at 202 Bagley Ave. NW, while the Thief River Falls presentation will be held at Northland Community and Technical College, 1101 Hwy. 1 East.
The three-hour session will focus on feasibility, business plan basics, basic legal requirements and understanding the various aspects of financing a business.
The registration fee for the class is $40 per person or $60 for partners, which includes all materials, and is payable at the door.
The presentation will also be held in Bemidji on Thursday, March 6, but a location has yet to be finalized.
The Small Business Development Center is housed at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation, an off-campus facility located at 3801 Bemidji Ave. North.
