Bemidji State’s Sustainability Office to host swap meet

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Feb. 17, 2011) — Bemidji State University’s Sustainability Office will be hosting a swap party on Thursday, Feb. 24, giving students and community members the opportunity to trade items they no longer want or use.

The swap party will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the University’s Beaux Arts Ballroom in the upper Hobson Memorial Union. In order to participate, you must sign up for a table and have items to swap; tables can be held by individuals or small groups of people. Setup for those bringing items to swap will begin at 5 p.m.

Those participating should be prepared to designate their items for trade into different “trade value” categories:

• “Medium” – sweatshirts, jeans, etc.
• “High” – dress clothes, designer accessories, sporting goods, etc.

The swap party will also feature food and music to entertain participants.
