Sustainability Office Curbside Recycling Survey

You are invited to participate in a study of the interest for curbside recycling programs for the Bemidji area. We hope to learn the percentages and correlations of our campus community that has interest in curbside recycling services. This information will be used to further BSU’s understanding of the market and set goals to achieve our Zero Waste goal. We may also use the information in this survey to assess willingness to pay (WTP) in the future economic decisions of the university and surrounding community. You were selected as a possible participant in this study because you are a faculty, staff, or student of Bemidji State University.

To access the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/curbsiderecyclingWTP This survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete if you are an on-campus faculty, staff, or student (only about 30 seconds if you are a distance learner!). Your time is very valuable to us!!

All responses to this survey will be kept confidential. Your name or identity will not be linked in any way to the research data.

Your participation is voluntary and you may refuse to participate, or may discontinue at any time. No associated risks are expected while taking the survey. Your responses will benefit BSU by providing information that can be used to implement strategies in carbon mitigation.

If you have any questions about this study, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

“What is this you call property? It cannot be the Earth, for the land is our mother, nourishing all her children, beasts, birds, fish and all men. The woods, the streams, everything on it belongs to everybody and is for the use of all. How can one man say it belongs only to him?” – Massasoit (c. 1581 – 1661), leader of the Wampanoag tribe
