On dark nights as Halloween approaches, witches take flight, swooping and swishing around campus buildings, chasing all manner of creatures. Sometimes they zig when they should have zagged and they end up wrapped around a tree, light pole or post – leaving behind a splat witch.

BSU students, staff and faculty compete each year to invent and install the most creative splat witch. Any group can assemble and participate, and the Department of Housing and Residence Life offers Beaver Bucks to the top three witches.
